Students in this program receive 3–6 hours of combined credit for the externship for a total work commitment of 150–300 hours over 6–12 weeks, including both fieldwork and academic coursework. Tuition is paid at the per-credit rate; financial aid is available for 5-6 credit hours. Scholarships cannot be used for summer externships.Hours: Monday – Friday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Emory offers a generous compensation package in addition to benefits, time away and other perks.2022 Write-On Competition. Emory's five law journals select new candidates through a joint write-on competition. Any first-year student may compete. All relevant materials needed to participate in the write-on competition will be in the write-on packet provided in May 2022. The 2022 Write-On Competition begins at 9:00 a.m. EDT, Monday, May 9.Spring 2023 Graduation. The law school's Degree Candidate Recognition Ceremony is scheduled to be held on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at 11 a.m. at the Woodruff P.E. Center on campus.
